Fashion NOT and fashion HOT

NOT

Opposing coloured, socks, it's now twice in one week I've seen people wearing one red and one blue sock. Come on people, the only excuse you would have for this is if it's washing day, even then I'd go without! I can't believe people actually buy and wear these.

HOT

Navy nail polish! Black was back in a big way last year, but this year Navy seems to be bringing up a close second place. I'll be getting my nails done in this on the weekend, it's the only blue I'll probably ever wear - (I don't have any Navy clothes)

Louboutin

Feast your eyes on these beauties. My feet may be sore, raw and bleeding from wearing my newest pair of shoes out on the town on Saturday night, the price tag may still be visible on the sole, but that won't stop me purchasing even more foot candy.

All that sparkles

I saw a girl wearing these sequined black leggings the other day, I hadn't actually seen them on someone that wasn't modeling them. They looked amazing!! teamed with a plain top (see below post, frilly tops), a plain black blazer / boyfriend jacket and hot strappy shoes I think they are fabulous for a night out on the town and just like a great pair of shoes do, these can really make your outfit! Lucky for me Sportsgirl are selling them for $40 a pair currently. I will invest!

Sequined blazer is from Dotti - it comes in black and silver. I'm thinking silver will add pop to whatever outfit it's teamed with and would definitely set off smoky eye makeup (that I usually wear out)

Why can't I just be a stylist for a living!! Man I love clothes.

Want want want

I love spending my next pay before I even have it. However, I'm not going to be able to afford them all as I desperately need a new pair of flats to wear to work, and a thick woolen coat because it's starting to get freeeeezing now!

Thoughts on the above?

Shoes you'd sell your soul for pt. 1

So if there's anywhere I can drool over the shoes I can't afford, it's my own blog right? My latest obsession being shoes - has lead me to truly appreciate the amazing, wonderful thing that is Christian Louboutin shoes. Here are a few of my favourites from the latest collection I thought I'd share with you, so you can cry with me for not being able to afford them:

Tattoos - trampy or arty?

So it's no big secret that I have recently become fascinated with tattoos. It started with a simple design on my lower back which represented everything I would want my first tattoo too, and it was very much what I needed and wanted in my life at that time. (It means to live life to the full, eradicate joyless living and anything / anyone in your life which prevents you from living the life you want). This was done after a few drinks for dutch courage, and I convinced one of my Best Mates Amelia to come along and get one done with me, so she got an A (self explanatory really) on her lower back.

Secondly, my Best Friend Liz and I got a memorial tattoo in memoriam of our late Best Friend Eren who passed away in 2002. We both got the Pisces symbol on our inner right ankle to represent Eren (who was a Pisces) Liz (who is a Pisces) and myself (who is actually a Sagittarius but I was the one who had the dream about Liz and I getting a tattoo of a Pisces symbol and Eren being there) - which after my experiences with the 'Spiritual world' after she passed away - was taken quite literally as a sign that it had to be done. This dream was also had on the eve of her Birthday.

The last tattoo I have had done is a music note and treble clef on the inside of my right wrist. Music is a massive part of my life, I'm always involved with it whether it be reading about, researching on, listening too, playing at home / work / gigs, going out to hear it and see artists perform it etc. It is what makes me so happy and keeps me going through the tough times, and something that I know I will continue to love and cherish until the day I die. I also use my right hand as my main hand when I DJ so the position seemed quite fitting. This tattoo I got with my good friend Rodd who also got a double music note on the top of his hand near his thumb, for much the same reasons.

Now, the reason I'm writing this post is because of late I've had the strong desire to get (yet another) tattoo. I am sure that I will save my left wrist for my Husbands' name (whoever that may be) - however the tattoo I'm contemplating at the moment is inspired by these beautiful Women

Usually, when you think of writing down ones neck / side / back you would think tacky, right? But don't these Ladies make it look good? Of course they're gorgeous, famous, rich, they can get away with it. But it leaves me pondering; in my line of work, how would I be looked upon if I was to get something similar? Am I going to regret it in 10 years time? What could I possibly want written on me, knowing it's with me til the end?

Being indecisive, what I've always wanted is something that represents either of the following:

* Love and the importance of it
* Resilience
* Life without regrets
* The pursuit and accomplishment of ones dreams

I've also contemplated getting something done in Hebrew (as I have Hebrew origins from my Father) such as Posh has down the back of her neck. However, I'm quite partial to the wording down the side (see: Megan Fox & Hayden Pantierre)

You're probably thinking - so don't get one if you're not sure? Well I'm not .. that is, not until I AM sure. I've been looking at sites with inspirational quotes and although I've found a few, I've not really found any that I'd want to commit to having on my body.

I have thought about getting the word 'Resilient' tattooed on me for strength during the tough times (and man there have been a few of those lately) but I am still pondering. I'll keep you updated.

Stella

So if I had enough money to buy everything my little heart desired, my unit would only be big enough for my clothes. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Almost as unfortunate is the fact that Stella McCartney makes the most beautiful clothes - however, one Pièce de résistance would be one week that I would no longer eat, travel or exist. Except, however I would be existing in some form, in some way - in my designer gear only.

Take for example the bandage dress. Fashion fad or fashion fabulous? Fashion forward I say. and have you ever seen one as beautiful as this:

I didn't think so. What's the price you say? Well what's your mortgage?

Secondly - my staples for this year have become long tank tops and leggings. I've even got the shiny wet look leggings and was brave enough to bust these babies out for a festive Friday at work (complimented by my sequined black beanie of course) however I thought I'd seen it all, until I stumbled across the second (Robert Pattinson being the first) most beautiful thing I have ever seen:

Now, steal your eyes away from the shimmery goodness and take a deep breath, beacuse these beauties will set you back $1,495. Not bad. I could invest in a new Chanel for that much. However I found myself mentally calculating how close my Rudd stimulus package would get me to putting my pins in these babies... then I remembered I'm still paying off my last shopping splurge in New York!!

To top it off, just when I thought the world of online shopping couldn't be any crueler, I stumble across these:

Now, I haven't been a massive shoe gal in the past, but things can change, right? 2009 has bought with it not only leggings and over sized tanks, but a love and interest in all things shoes. Last year was bags, the year before was probably also bags. Pay day was today and already I have spent half on 2 pairs of shoes that I can not get out of my head (unfortunately, these Louboutins aren't one of them)

You know if I really were money bags then I wouldn't bat an eyelid and just purchase everything I've mentioned plus this:

Yeah, why not - it's only $3,945.

That's it for now. If I spend another second looking at Stella, Louboutin or Net a Porter I'll give myself an anyeruism.

Until next time.
